It seems dreadful now, starting over from something that meant so much for you. You may not know it yet but letting go of who you were then will mean something later. When you get there, it will be the most relieving feeling in the world.
You will be able to get rid of the things that were holding you back, all of the shit that was weighing you down. You get to be in the driver’s seat – nobody gets to tell you what to do or when to do it. All those times that you felt like you were in the wrong place or with the wrong person will be no more – you will be free.
That’s the beauty in beginning again, you get to choose. Every decision you make from this point on will be your own. You can begin again, you can start over. You are given a chance to do something differently, to live a little more. You are able to remove your rose-coloured glasses and choose a new colour, one that is vibrant; one that is you. You get to redeem yourself and be one step closer to the person you want to be.
When you begin again, you are given a chance to see the good side to your ending. The good in goodbyes, the magic that is with new hellos. You are given a new perspective and a way to see the world. You allow yourself to remember that there is a crown placed upon a your head, that when you look down, it falls off. Hold your head up high, one foot in front of the other.
You can now look forward and see the light at the end of the path. You what is to come and it is no longer scary. You take the first step, you make each one after that matter. The cords that were holding you down have been cut, you are now able to fly. So fly high, soar above the clouds.
When you begin again, you no longer have to tell yourself that you were settling. You are able to go out and get what you want, what you deserve. You are no longer sad, hurt, or miserable. You are excited. You are smiling.
You can now live a life that will inspire you.
You are able to see that when things end, other things begin.
There is no rule book here. You make your own. This is your world, the rest of us just occupy space.
So, go out there, be you. Begin again.
